Drill Team Camp

Immerse yourself in the world of drill teams and discover what it truly takes to be part of this exhilarating experience. Whether you bring your own horse or opt to use one of ours, our drill team camp offers a comprehensive learning opportunity that covers everything from drilling techniques to the art of costuming.

Get ready to be part of the action behind the scenes as you delve into the intricacies of drill team preparation and execution. From mastering synchronized movements to creating stunning visual displays, you'll gain firsthand experience in every aspect of drill team performance.

Join us and experience the thrill of drill as you embark on a journey of hard work, dedication, and teamwork.

All riders with special needs (both physical and developmental needs) are welcome at TJ Stable's fully wheel chair accessible facility. Gentle, trustworthy horses and patient, caring staff. We are able to assist riders to mount, and in cases where needed we have a lift for riders in wheelchairs or with balance issues.

    • The instructors are Canadian Cowgirls Coaches and are Certified Drill Coaches of the North American Drill Horse Association.

    • drill instruction daily; lesson includes proper formations, spacing and executing of drill maneuvers

    • Team up with a more advanced horse for the week

    • Cool out horses on our scenic woodland trails

    • Drill performance to music and a live audience on Rodeo Day

    • Indoor and Outdoor Facilities

    • Family and friends are invited to see campers perform on horseback

    • Bring your own lunch and drinks

    • Helmets are Mandatory and will be supplied.

    • Pants and boots need to be worn for riding. No crocs, flip flops or open-toed shoes around the horses.

    • All riders must dress appropriately for the weather.

Junior Drill Team

Join our Junior Drill Team and take your horsemanship skills to the next level by putting them into action! This is your chance to showcase everything you've learned in your lesson programs in a thrilling and dynamic setting. Imagine the exhilaration of communicating with your horse through synchronized movements set to music, creating a captivating and harmonious ride.

But it's not just about riding; it's about the camaraderie and sense of purpose that comes from being part of a team. Share the excitement with your friends as you work together towards a common goal, forging bonds that extend beyond the arena. With the Junior Drill Team, every ride is an opportunity to grow, learn, and create unforgettable memories.

  • $450.00 + tax

  • This program runs for one hour every week for 10 weeks total.

  • In order to join this class, riders must have completed all riding levels or be assessed by TJ Stables staff. All riders joining junior drill riding lessons must have a balanced and confident seat while walking, trotting and cantering. All new students need to book an assessment by TJ Stables instructors to verify riding level and be approved to participate in this class.

  • The program takes place in both our indoor and outdoor facilities here at TJ Stables.
